By Air: USAirways Express from Charlotte offers daily flights to Hilton Head Island. The nearest international airport is Savannah, Georgia, located 45 minutes from the Island. Air Tran Airways, American Airlines/American Eagle, Continental Express, Delta/Delta Connection, Northwest Airlines, United/United Express and USAirways offer daily flights to Savannah . Limousine and taxi service is available, and all major car rental agencies are represented.
By Land: From I-95, take Exit 8 onto Hwy. 278 direct to Hilton Head Island. Amtrak serves Savannah, Georgia, and Charleston, South Carolina, with several trains daily. By Sea: Hilton Head and Beaufort are on the Intracoastal Waterway and boaters can be serviced at Shelter Cove Marina, adjacent to Palmetto Dunes. |
